Making Money Online Is Very Hard

To succeed in making money on the internet you need to be willing to spend hours each day on the computer. I have purchased well over a dozen of money making e-books and programs online that all claimed to make me rich in only a small amount of time(usually 30 min to 1 hour). I know you might be thinking this guy bought over a dozen of these things and didn't learn his lesson after the first one or two. He must be the dumbest man alive. You know what I am, when I started out trying to make money online I believed pretty much everything I read.

It wasn't until my bank account went into the red that I decided I needed a new approach. I started posting on forums and talking to people in chat rooms about all the scams, and more importantlly real ways to make money. I still may not be the brightest bulb in the drawer, but I make a pretty good living now working online, and want to help you learn from my mistakes.
1. Before I get into what worked for me I think you should know what you need to stay away from. Make sure you keep away from anything offering you millions for a half an hour of work a day. This is more than likely common sense to most of you, but when I started out products like that suckered me right in and I was happy to pay $97 to get a million back. They just aren't real. These companies pay writers a lot of money to write the pages to make you feel insecure, and add timers and deadlines to make you feel that if you don't buy then and there that you will pay hundred's more later. But what really happens is they just make a new deadline when the old one expires. So please be very carefull and if you see something your not sure about sleep on it for a night. I almost guarantee it will be the same price as the the before, even if the deadline says otherwise.

2. Now that that's out of the way let's get down to what I use to generate money online. What I started off with was paid surveys. If you go to any money making forums you can find real paid survey programs. The problem is that for me personally I really couldn't make enough money with these. Sure you might make $30 a month with one of these but you might work 20 hours doing so. If I worked at burger king making $8 an hour(which I did for a while) I would have made $160 for the same amount of time. So it just didn't really make much sense to me. Don't get me wrong you can make money doing it. It just wasn't for me.

3.Incentivized Freebie Websites or IFW's are ads you have seen a million times i'm sure. The ones that say click here to claim your free X-Box or plasma tv. But you probably thought it was just a big scam. Actually you can make some pretty decent money doing the offers of these companies. How it work's is someone signs up to complete an offer and then they have to get a certain number of referals(signups) to sponsored sites to get there free gift.

A forum at www.anything4free.com has people trying to complete these offers and paying people $25 to $75 to signup. All you have to do is register for the forum and answer a post asking "pay for greens". A green is someone who hasn't already signed up for an IFW's offer. So if you never signed up for any of the IFW offers then your probably green on all the 100's and 100's of IFW sites. You will need a free paypal account set up to recieve your payments. Also once you get used to doing offers for other people you can try to complete your own IFW offer. Just think about it this way, if you need to get 12 referals for a plasma TV worth $1200 and you pay the people $50 each thats $600. Now sell the brand new TV on ebay for $1200 and you pocket $600. It takes some work and time to find the right offers, but I think it's worth it.

4.Google Adsense sites are another good way to make money. Google will put ads on you site and everytime someone clicks an ad you make money. What you do is apply for an adsense account and in a few days you will receive your publisher id to place in your site. The basic adsense site has anywhere from 30 to 300 pages each normally with an article on a certain niche topic. An example niche could be PS3 video games. You could go to a place that offers free articles and get the video game articles for free, then use software to convert the article to a webpage insert your google publisher id and there you go you have a ready to make money webpage.

To place the webpages on the web you need a domain name and hosting account. They can be pretty cheap and are not that hard to get started if you have a FTP. A FTP client is software that will add your webpages to your website. There are free FTP's out there so don't worry about the price. Before you have your website up and running remember to read googles strict guidelines or they may cancel your account without warning. A good way to advertise your adsense site is with article marketing(covered below).

5. The last thing I like to do is of course affiliate marketing. For those who don't know affiliate marketing is where the affiliate, you. Advertises for a company, and get paid for generating leads or sales for the company. I suggest you go to clickbank.com and signup for free, there are 1000's of companies listed all of them guaranteed to give you a link to promote. The best and most popular way to advertise is pay per click or PPC. The two most popular ppc sites are google and yahoo. But I don't use them a lot. It can cost you a lot of money if your new or don't know what your doing. Ever since I got suckered so many times with all the scams, its hard for me to open up my wallet for anything that isn't a software program, or a really good online course with everything you need to make money online. No more $100 E-Books with the same old info for me.

How I like to advertise my affiliate link is anything thats free, mainly article marketing. That's where you write an article related to what your promoting and ad a link to your affiliate site at the end. Don't worry if you article isn't that good you can do what I do and use different pen names for articles. Also the more you write the better you will get at it. Try to pick a title that yeilds very few results on google. Start the title with "how to..." or "7 tips to..." people love these articles, and if there good other people will add them to there blog or website with your affiliate link intact. Places to add your articles to are ezine.com, goarticles.com, articlemarketer.com, and my personal favorite amazines.com. But there are hundreds more.

So thats it. I wish everyone who tries any of these the best of luck. Also if I was just starting out again I would start with the IFW sites. Just to start making some money to fund my other projects.
Also if your looking for a step by step course on affiliate marketing, google adsense and adwords(ppc) with free websites and training courses and much more than I recommend The Profit Lance Course found here http://hender.netsalaries.com/ It also has the products you should stay away from.

How To Advertise Your Website

There are plenty of great free ways to advertise your website or affiliate link's on the internet. I want to share with you a few ways to start.

1. Classified Ads are a good free way to start advertising your site or link. A lot of them are free and easy to get started with. You will not get a lot of traffic with ads, but the traffic you do receive will be targeted. I like to post to as many classified sites as possible, it will take some time but it is worth it because it's free. A great place to start usfreeads.com.

2. Traffic Exchanges are another good way to advertise your site. There are tons out there and are pretty easy to find. Most are free with the option to buy more credits. If you have a Google Adsense site do not and it to these sites or google may cancel your Adsense account. Some of these sites are autosurf and some are manual. I recommend you use the manual exchanges because you have to view the sites and other people view your site for 15 to 30 seconds to get credit. But with the autosurf sites you can just set it and forget it and your site might not get any real views. A great place to start is Trafficswarm.com another place with a little different concept is linkreferral.com.

3. Guaranteed Traffic/Hits sites in my opinion don't really live up to there promises. You might get 50,000 "targeted" hits for $100 but only make a handfull of sales. There is money to be made with these sites but you need a lot to start up. Don't expect to get rich with these sites.
4. Email Lists are one of my favorite places to advertise. To start your own email list of quality contacts could take months or even years to build. So I recommend you join a program that automatically emails thousands of targeted subscribers for you. You will have to pay a fee but I think its well worth it.

5. Article Marketing is a great free way to advertise. Just write an article relevant to your site and leave a link at the end of it. I think its best to go to google and search your article title, and find a title that doesn't have many results. So you will be able to track your article after its published. Some great places to submit your articles to are goarticles.com, ezine.com and I really like amazines.com.

6. PPC(Pay Per Click) is by far the best and fastest way to advertise. The two biggest one are google adwords and yahoo but there are others that are cheaper. PPC is pretty simple just write your ad bid on keywords and place your ads. I don't recommend doing this unless you have extra money to spend because it can be very expensive to start and optimise your ads. If you do have money to do this its great because your ad is placed on the sites almost instantly, and if you bid high enough on keywords your ad will be in the number 1 spot.

Here is a great place to get the best results from your adwords campaign and other great advertising resources http://lemmyh2.affrockst.hop.clickbank.net/

Stop Smoking The Easy Way

Tips to quit smoking Nicotine addiction is something that is really hard to break, in my experience gum and patches did nothing but make me want more gum and patches. When I ran out of them I once again without hesitation went back to cigarettes until I got more. But now I have not smoked in 6 months and want to share some of my tips to help other people stop smoking for good.1.Remember nicotine is very addictive and I don't think cold turkey is the way to go, what I did was count how many cigarettes I was smoking in a day and every two days remove one. I started out by saying to myself do I really need three cigarettes during lunch it's only an hour so I took the one out from the middle. Taking one away every two days seemed to work for me a lot better than just stopping all together or one every day, because I think it gave my body a chance to adjust.2. Stop the cravings, yes the craving's are by far the hardest part but I got through it, and so can you. When I first began trying to quit on my own I bought a lot of products and looked for help online. But I dropped the products pretty fast when I found my addiction had just changed to a patch or gum that was still giving me nicotine. So I looked online for help, and found some good advise. Like in between cigarettes it Say's keep your hands busy by sewing or knitting. That might be good advise for some, but for me sewing and knitting would just bore the hell out of me and make me want to smoke even more. So I substituted the boring stuff with Playing on my PS3 or watching TV and going to the driving range and blasting some golf balls. It really doesn't matter what you do as long as you do something that keeps your hands busy and keeps your mind off of smoking. Also chewing your favorite gum might help when A bad craving strikes.3.The last piece of the puzzle for me was the actual motion of smoking. You know lifting it up to your lips. I found out that by chewing on straws and Popsicle sticks for a little bit and holding it like a cigarette that it got my mind off of smoking a lot. I know you and other people might think that is nasty, but just think what's worst, chewing on sticks, or smoking cigarettes. If you don't think smoking is nasty than stop for A few months and then hang around people who just smoked. That nasty smell, is what all the non-smokers smelled on you EVERY TIME YOU SMOKED. I really hope that this help's some of you stop smoking. But if you read this and still feel helpless than I suggest you try this.http://lemmyh2.calkeco.hop.clickbank.net/

Using Publicity And The Media to Increase Website Traffic

When it comes to advertising a website in hopes of gaining extra traffic, there are plenty of different ways to utilize the media and varying levels of publicity to gain interest and attention. A wide range of alternatives outside of the online mode of marketing works to move away from banner advertising, search engine optimization, and pay-per-click strategies. Below you will find some of the innovative ways that individuals, small businesses, and large companies pursue when they wish to make an impact on their number of website visitors:
1) The local news is a popular resource for marketing, which can also boost website traffic by increasing the exposure of your site. There are many clever ways to get your website posted or mentioned through news outlets, including sponsoring a fundraiser or holding a major event that appeals to the majority of your region. Writing a press release gets news media outlets interested in what your business is doing, giving you the chance to have your website and other company details presented to the public.
2) Holding a contest on your website that is advertised on local television stations and the newspaper will gain the interest of those who wish to learn more details, which ultimately translates into a rise in website traffic. Some of the most successful contest attempts to gain website traffic are those that are held on a regular basis or monthly. A few ideas include holding trivia contests, solving mind puzzles, or the simple filling out of questionnaires that become part of a drawing.
3) Business cards are quite helpful when you bump into potential customers and want to make sure they remember your website address. There are many different people that may help spread the word regarding your website, including grocery store clerks, friends, and family members. Business cards also make handy alerts when tacked onto local bulletin boards at the library, grocery store, and other popular gathering spots.
4) National radio stations sometimes have a little bit of room to squeeze business owners and company representatives as guest speakers, which gives time for individuals to reach the public with a brief mentioning of their products or services. This also creates the perfect opportunity to advertise a website. When there is no room to have you on as a guest, you may succeed in persuading a radio announcer to read off a few words regarding your website.
5) Target local and national magazines that share the same kind of subject matter as your website where you may purchase advertising space. An example of this is seen in the website focusing on recipes that gains attention in the magazine that centers on selling cooking equipment.
6) On a yearly basis, billboards receive millions of drivers passing by their advertising efforts. A website that is able to utilize this form of marketing may increase the number of people who visit. Even if a car passes by too fast to catch the entire website address, the name of the website will help them easily track down the site when they attempt to locate the source of the attractive billboard they saw on the side of the road.
7) Some businesses have used their cars as a way to spread the word on their company, but it can also serve as a great method of increasing website traffic when the site address is plastered on the side of a vehicle. Whether in motion or sitting in a parking lot, you are bound to entice curious individuals to take down the website address for later use.
8) When budget is of no consequence, a clever way to market a website is to create and pass out customized items, which feature the web address. A couple of options to consider include key chains, pens, air fresheners, bumper stickers, playing cards, and for the more zealous marketers – a small stuffed bear wearing a T-shirt displaying the website address.
9) During the holidays, sending out greeting cards promoting the website may spark interest. If you make it a habit to distribute quirky, clever cards – you may establish a cult following – which easily translates into an increase in overall website interest.
10) When looking for something truly eye-catching to spread the word regarding your website – those who can afford the luxury – may hire a blimp to hold a banner that displays the website address. An increase in traffic will occur when people satisfy their curiosity regarding the spectacle that brought them to the site in the first place. The more colorful and bold the blimp – the larger the response.
11) DVDs are popular forms of entertainment. When you are able to create or pair up with another to produce a suitable DVD pertaining to the services or products associated with your website, you may include your website address for interested parties to explore.
An example of this marketing approach may involve a dog grooming website that promotes their site by pairing with a dog trainer who needs backing to distribute his or her dog-training DVD. While the website provides funds for the production of the DVD – they receive advertising credits on the outside of the DVD case with their web address additionally displayed throughout the DVD footage.
12) Music captures the attention of a wide range of audience members. Hiring a local band and holding a community get-together, such as a BBQ, is a great way to connect with potential consumers. This is also the perfect opportunity to pass out flyers advertising your product or services (displaying the website address, of course).

Advanced Ways to Traffic Building

Profitable traffic building is the goal of anyone who has a website or online business. Even people who have their websites for fun or a hobby appreciate having a high number of hits. Here are some advanced ways to profitable traffic building.
Beef Up Advertising
You may have some ads out there in ezines or other online publications. You may be able to increase the size, add colors, redesign, or simply update the information. If you find some ads that aren’t bringing in the revenue, cut them unless they are pet charities that you want to continue with.
A Spider’s Breakfast
Search engine spiders look for good keyword concentration when looking for a website. Although you know that by now, you may not know that the spider food should be fresh--update your site often and replace old, stale content with new crisp choices.
New Technology
Profitable traffic building often relies on the use of new internet and online technologies. These days RSS and podcasting are very popular, but tomorrow it could be something else. Keep abreast of techie-wiz developments and you will be on top of the profitable traffic building game.
Check Your Links
You should always check your site for friendliness, links, and content. If your content reads stiffly, or if links don’t work, your people will click off your site and go straight to the competitor that has a good design, content, and workable site. Also, get rid of old products, old news, and old links to other sites that don’t work.

8 Steps to Make a Profit with SEO

Whether you are promoting your own site or someone else’s, you need to pay attention to the techniques in SEO, or Search Engine Optimization. Here are 8 steps to help you write better SEO for more profit.
Step 1: Before you do anything else, get into the web directories on Yahoo, Google, and MSN. You don’t need a functioning website--you are simply trying to get your domain name in to the big search engines so you don’t have to wait to get noticed.
Step 2: Learn who your customer really is. You will need to know the language they use so you know what to put into your content and how to write it.
Step 3: Make a good website. SEO involves as much keeping customers as getting them to visit, so don’t assault their eyes with flashing banners and bright colors.
Step 4: Content and Keywords, part 1
Write good, understandable content, and use words your customers will use when they enter search terms in the search engines. Make sure they find you by using a keyword density of about 2%.
Step 5: Content and Keywords, part 2
Be careful of oversaturation of your keywords. Don’t put in any more than about 5%--the search engines will pick up on this and may boot you from the top rankings. SEO is not an exact science, but there were ways to cheat in the past that were nipped in the bud.
Step 6: Give and Get Backlinks
This doesn’t mean trade links to your website with a friend. Search engines also pick up on that and frown on the practice. Get links from appropriate websites that are important, even if you have to trade a free article for it.
Step 7: Check Content
Like cheese, your content has an expiration date, after which it’s just stale old news. Update often.
Step 8: Check Website
In addition to keeping your SEO writing fresh and updated, check all your links and links to your own website--eliminate any that no longer work.
